Free State
Free State is the central most province in South Africa and the landscape is dominated by flat grassy plains, field crops, grazing veld and sandstone mountains toward the north-east of the province. Agriculture and gold mining are the main sources of income throughout the province. Bloemfontein is the capital of the Free State and is also the judiciary capital of South Africa. At the foothill of the Maluti Mountains in the north-eastern Free State is the provinces main tourist attraction: The Golden Gate Highlands National Park.
